చప్పట్లు
/ˈplɔː.dɪt/noun
Enthusiastic praise; a round of applause.
From the Latin plaudite, "applaud!", which Roman actors called out to the audience at the end of a play. We liked the idea that the end of the film is where the conversation starts.
Every Friday, Telugu fans fill theatres with whistles and the internet with takes. Then the takes scatter across X threads, YouTube comments, fan pages and WhatsApp groups, and by Monday they're gone.
That conversation deserves a home of its own: one built around films and the people who love them, where a hot take finds the fans who care about it, and a box-office argument gets settled with a poll instead of abuse.
So we're building Plaudit, a place to post your take, back your star, call the box office and be in the room on release day.
Fan titles come from the replies and votes other fans give you, not from how much you post. Nothing you can buy changes a star's ranking.
Debate is the point. Abuse, hate, threats and sharing someone's personal details get removed, and accounts that do it get suspended.
One account per person. When we find fake accounts or automation, we remove them and the points they gained.
No ad trackers, and we don't sell your data. You can delete your account at any time.
We'd rather not promise dates we can't keep, so here's the order things happen in.

We invite the waitlist to test Plaudit, fix what's rough and add what fans ask for.
Plaudit opens on Google Play for anyone aged 18 or over.
An iPhone app, once the Android app is in good shape.
Plaudit is made by a small, independent team of Telugu cinema fans. We aren't linked to any star, studio or production house, and official teams get verified the same way as everyone else. Write to us at support@plaudit.in.
